Larry Clay at the Georgie Awards

Georgie Awards Winner

Georgie Awards come in all sizes with 45 categories ranging from best renovation under $100,000 to the best overall builder in the province. These awards, bestowed by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of British Columbia (CHBA), reflect the dedication of the winner to have done their best whether the job was big or small.

Custom Home Builder of The Year
We were thrilled to win, in early 2014, the Best Custom Homebuilder in BC for 2013 award. This Georgie Grand Award speaks not only to our skill and craftsmanship but to our attention to all aspects of home construction from budget to possession.

2014 Nominations
Things got even better in late November of this year when CHBA announced Clay Construction as a finalist for Best Custom Homebuilder in BC for 2014! Back to back recognition for this prestigious award is an almost unheard of feat.

To top it off, we received 6 other Georgie finalist nominations:

Best Custom Home Under $750,000 (2 entries)
Best Master Suite – New or Renovation
Best Single Family Kitchen Under $100,000 – New
Best Affordable Certified Home – Production or Custom
Best Environmental Initiative

Environmental Awards
We are particularly pleased with the shout-outs to our recent focus on environmental issues and healthy living homes. The Best Environmental Initiative award recognizes a builder who embraces environmental, economic and social aspects of their project and incorporates creative and innovative solutions. Best Affordable Certified Home award recognizes a member who has constructed a certified home with Built Green® and or R-2000 while maintaining a balance between affordability and sustainability.

Georgie Night
Follow along as the CHBA hosts the Georgie Gala in February 2015 and announces the 2014 award winners. Look for us at the podium!
